I have really bad crooked teeth and I have not liked them even when I was just a kid. I am 24 and thinking about braces. I thinking about picking up a dental discount plan in order to lower my cost for braces but even with that braces will be costly.
I not sure if getting braces will really help my smile to look better. I told I will be in braces for at least three years and I can only afford the metal braces. Is it worth the effort, money and time? Not sure what to do.

I live in OH and I need adult braces which so far I can not seem to find any dental insurance plans that offer dental benefits for adult braces. Where can I find help in order to get braces at a more affordable cost to me?

I have a great dental insurance plan that I get though my job. I have good teeth but I do have a gap between my front teeth that I gotten over time. Other then the gap I have no other dental issues.
My one problem is I am thinking about getting braces just to fit the gap. My current dental insurance plan does not cover for adult braces. So if I do get braces as it is I would have to pay for everything. Is there anything I can get to help me with the cost of braces? I do not want to cancel my current dental insurance plan since I get it for free.

I am 24 years old and looking to have braces. My questions is two parts. First part would be since I do not have dental insurance is it late for me to pick up some dental insurance for my braces? I would really like to have some dental insurance in order to help me with the cost of braces.
My second issues is, I am worried that at 24 I may look silly having braces. Does dental insurance only cover metal braces? My dentist told me normally metal braces are the only type of braces insurance companies will cover out on. Is that true?
