Preparing your child for their first dental visit
Parents can make the first dental visit enjoyable as well as a positive for their child. Here are some tips to that can help you.
1) If you child is old enough, They should be informed of the dental visit and be told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions they may have. Keep it light, the less to-do concerning the dental visit, the better.
2) Refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear. Void words such as needle, pull, drill or hurt.
3) There are fun young kid friendly YouTube videos that you may want to watch with your child if they have more questions about seeing a dentist.
