Dental Health care, Knowing the ADA codes for dental services
I have a dental HMO plan though my job that I thought would be very helpful to me since I have not been to a dentist in a while. However, it seems whenever I go to the dental office I am being told I need dental services that are not covered under my plan.
Which I would think things like crowns and cleanings would be covered they show on my plan that they are. I call the insurance company and they stated can not confirm plan benefits without knowing the ADA codes. Where do I get ADA codes so I can check with the company that what the dental office is telling me is true.?

I know what you are talking about it is not the HMO plan that is bad. What seems to happen with some dentist is that the dentist in the net work try to get you to have services they know are not covered under the plan so they can get more money from you.
My HMO covers me to have crowns which I am sure yours does too. However my HMO will cover for porcelain fuse to metal crowns. They look just like your own teeth and you can not see the metal.
However my dentist always trys to talk me into getting full porcelain crowns that are twice as much since they are not covered under my plan.
My plan only covers me to have a basic cleaning twice a year but when I go to book the appointment they try to get it in under the six months so that I have to pay for it.
You have to stay on top of what they are doing. ADA codes will let your insurance company know the dental service your dentist is charging you for so you get them from your dentist.
What I do is tell the dentist every time I am not having any dental work done that is not covered under my plan so he best make sure it is what offer under my plan before they start telling me what I need.

Everyone’s dental health care situation is different so just because you find a plan for your loved ones to enjoy a reduced rate be sure to include Golden West Dental Insurance in your final decision since most likely your friends, peers or colleagues have it to. By getting a dental insurance there a few things to remember and one is having expectations that one dental plan can do it all.
